Professional Services
Investigative genetic genealogy and related services are provided on a fee-for-service basis. Services may include case assessment, genetic genealogy analysis, database research, family tree reconstruction, laboratory coordination, and case management, as appropriate to the needs of each case.
Hourly Rates
- $125 per hour — standard professional services rate
- $100 per hour — discounted rate for time billed beyond 20 hours on a single case
Billing is based on time spent performing professional services and case management activities.
Laboratory and Third-Party Costs
Laboratory testing fees, third-party services, and external expenses are not included in professional service fees and are billed separately, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Examples of additional costs may include, but are not limited to:
- DNA testing or re-testing
- Laboratory processing fees
- Database access fees
- Specialized analytical services
Any anticipated laboratory or third-party costs will be discussed prior to incurring those expenses when possible.
Scope and Engagement
Submission of a case inquiry or intake form does not constitute acceptance of a case or initiation of services. Services begin only after professional review and confirmation of scope.
Investigative genetic genealogy is an inferential process and may or may not result in identification or definitive conclusions. Findings are not legal proof and may require independent confirmation for legal or evidentiary use.
Billing and Payment
Invoices are issued for services rendered in accordance with the applicable hourly rate and any approved additional costs. Payment terms will be provided at the time of engagement.

Services may include the full investigative process or selected components and are determined following professional review and discussion. | $125/hr, beyond 20 hours billed at $100/hr on a single case |
| Investigative Genetic Genealogy (IGG) Services | Investigative genetic genealogy services apply genetic analysis and genealogical research to explore biological relationships and potential identities using opt-in databases where permitted. Services may include DNA data interpretation, match analysis, and family tree reconstruction, with specific methods determined following professional review and discussion. | $125/hr, beyond 20 hours billed at $100/hr on a single case |
